To Whom It May Concern
I was first diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the back in 1992. In 1995 I went to a specialist who confirmed the diagnosis and prescribed physical therapy and exercise. I can not take oral pain medication so he suggested that I learn to live with it. But the relentlessness of managing the pain plus the loss of quality of life was wearying. On a particularly difficult day a lady gave me Dr. Allen’s CD and said there was a special discount for the first appointment. I was wary of how successful this treatment could be. But since I was contemplating going and sitting in a cave this sounded more promising. I made the appointment.
In June 2003 the same diagnosis was confirmed. After the first adjustment my immediate results were the feeling that my head was resting on my spine (one vertebrae had slipped forward and a second had slipped back). Then I looked at my feetthe right foot, which had angled out at a 45 degree angle, was straight. I was amazed. Now in March 2004 I have remained stable and am now having adjustments at three month intervals.
My quality of life went from no walks to walking two miles three or four times a week. I went from having to watch everything I did so as not to overdo to being able to help remodel a basement for our daughter. I am looking forward to being able to really do some gardening this summer.
When my children woo-oo me, I tell them that Jesus healed a blind man. The religious authorities were quizzing him about how Jesus healed him. He answered, “I do not know how but I do know that once I was blind but now I see.” I say, once I hurt but now I don’t!
